family and growing the music in a grassroots fashion. If you like
what you hear, please forward this email on to your close friends
and family and let them know about the songs and the movement. Your
voice and encouragement makes a huge difference!!!!
Much thanks and love,
Jon-Erik
**I've included a press blurb below.
On Borgen's new album, "The General Store," he collaborates
with acclaimed producer/musician, Scott Riebling (Letters to Cleo,
Nina Gordon, Weezer) and brings together a talented group of
players led by his band and rhythm section of Erik Privert and
Dave Brophy. Local heroes Duke Levine (Ellis Paul, Jonatha Brooke),
Paul Schulteis (Super Honey), and Mike Castellana (Eddie Kirkland)
further enrich J.E.'s songs with their creativity and organic playing
styles.
"This record represents the flair and influences of folk, rock, americana,
and backbeat that I've inherently fallen in love with since my childhood,"
Borgen states. "I'm truly inspired by the intimacy and raw edginess of
song writers like Dylan, Neil Young, and more recently Jeff Tweedy,
and I've tried to reflect that passion throughout this record."
